- Some locations offer a standing percentage discount on presentation of valid military or first responder ID.
- Some offer nothing routinely but will apply something on Veterans Day or Memorial Day.

The two things that are free for everyone
Worth saying plainly, because they are better than most chain discounts:
- The ice cream is free with any order. Every Dickey's location has a soft-serve machine, it is not advertised heavily, and it is the thing customers mention most consistently after the brisket. It runs around 200 calories, which the Dickey's nutrition guide accounts for.

Dickey's has run Veterans Day offers in past years, and individual franchises frequently run their own on Memorial Day, Independence Day and first responder appreciation days.
