The Big Deal, which is not optional
Every sandwich appears twice on the menu: "Sandwich Only" and "Big Deal". The Big Deal adds two sides and a drink for a flat $4.00. Sides are $3.49 each and drinks are $3.49, so the same three items bought separately cost $10.47 — a saving of $6.47 every single time.
There is no scenario where buying the components separately wins. The only reason to take a sandwich alone is that you genuinely want nothing else.
The Pick 4 Combo is the best item on the menu
Pitmaster Picks are priced so that each additional meat costs exactly $2.00: Pick 2 is $15.99, Pick 3 is $17.99, Pick 4 is $19.99. Against $14.99 for a single BBQ Pork plate, four meats cost five dollars more than one.

Daily and limited-time offers
Sonny's does not publish a fixed national weekday special calendar the way some chains do, and the seasonal menu rotates constantly — which is good for regulars and frustrating if you visit once a year looking for something you remember. Any "rib night" or weekday promotion you have heard about is a location-level decision, so check with your restaurant rather than assuming it runs chain-wide.
