Buying direct is the safer route. Third-party resale cards occasionally arrive with balance issues that are slow to resolve, and the saving is rarely more than a few percent.
What each amount actually buys
This is the part most gift card guides skip. Mission BBQ prices everything separately — sandwiches do not include sides — so a card that looks generous can fall short of a full meal.
$20 is the honest minimum for a card that buys someone a complete meal without them topping it up. $15 will not quite get there once a drink is involved.
Checking a balance
Balances can be checked on the Mission BBQ website's gift card page, or at the counter in any location. Keep the card itself even after it is spent — a card number is usually needed for any balance dispute.
What a gift card does not cover
