Most of the savings at Mission BBQ are not advertised. There is no coupon page, no weekly flyer and no aggressive discounting — but there are four standing ways to spend less, and one of them is not printed on the menu at all.

The Black Plate Special
This is the one worth knowing. The Black Plate Special is a rotating daily plate priced around $13.49 that changes by location and by day of the week. It is not on the printed menu and it is not on the board at every restaurant — you have to ask what it is.
It is almost always the best value in the building, because it is built from whatever the kitchen has most of that day. Two rules: ask before you order anything else, and do not assume yesterday's special is today's.
The combo upgrades
Sandwiches and Meat Market plates come with nothing at Mission BBQ. The two upgrades are the most reliable saving on the menu:
The XXL at $4.00 saves roughly $5.17 against buying two sides and a fountain drink individually. There is no combination where skipping it is cheaper.
The American Heroes Cup
$4.99 for the cup, $0.99 for every refill, for life — against $2.89 for a standard fountain drink. It breaks even on the third visit.
Cheapest ways to eat
For two people, the 2 Meat Sampler at $13.69 plus two sides and a cornbread comes to about $21 — roughly $10.50 a head, which is the cheapest genuine meal for a pair on the menu.
Military and first responder days
The largest single saving Mission BBQ offers is not a discount at all — it is the free-meal appreciation days for military, veterans and first responders. Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day and Police Week all typically carry a free sandwich offer. Full detail is in the military discount guide.
What Mission BBQ does not do
Being straight about this saves you looking:
- No printed coupon programme. Sites promising Mission BBQ coupon codes are almost always recycling expired or invented ones.
- No happy hour.
- No weekday lunch pricing tier — unlike Korean barbecue chains, the price is the price all day.
- No delivery-app exclusive that is genuinely cheaper. Apps mark the menu up; ordering direct is always less. See the delivery guide.
Where to actually find current offers
- The app and email list. Mission BBQ's own channels carry the real promotions, usually tied to national holidays.
- Ask about the Black Plate Special every visit.
- Watch the appreciation calendar — those are the genuinely large offers.
For every item with current pricing, see the full Mission BBQ menu.
